Join me for Veeam’s First Online User Group
As many readers of my blog know, I run the SouthWest Ontario Veeam User Group (SWOVUG), so it was very welcomed when Rick Vanover reached out to me earlier this year regarding a new initiative. Although there are Veeam User Groups located all over the world, they can sometimes be hard to come by. Issues like scheduling or transportation might get in the way and stop you from attending. With that in mind, Veeam is putting together their first online Veeam User Group, and I am honoured to have a presenting spot.
So what can you expect from the online User Group? The aim is to deliver the same Veeam-focused content as you would see when attending a local VUG meetup. We aim to keep them technical in nature and user focused. I will be presenting on managing and configuring jobs to fit backup window constraints. Other topics that we’ll cover include the newly release Veeam Agents, Backup for Microsoft Office 365, as well as a recap of VeeamON 2017.
One of the keys to success for any user group is customer-driven discussions. During some of our in-person user group meetings, some of the best sessions are the ones where we get users involved in the topic. It might be a question as to why something is a best practice, or maybe someone wants to share some wisdom gained from experience. Ultimately the success of these groups is determined by the attendees interaction. So what am I getting at? If you have questions, be sure to ask them, and we’ll do our best to answer what we can.
